Caoimhe O'Brien - Animation

With my work, I want storytelling to be the heart of what I design and create. With a focus in character design, visual development, and scriptwriting, I always ask if the concepts and characters I make tell a story or show their personality from the moment they’re seen. My love for animation and characters come from my background in dancing and meeting unique people in the world around me. I have always been drawn to creating characters that people are invested in, seeing parts of themselves or others within their personalities. When I developed a winning pitch for this year’s Animation Dingle Festival Big Pitcher, I was delighted that people related to the quirks of the characters and found their stories interesting. My main goal is creating things that people remember and enjoy!
